Vauxhall Vivaro - Vauxhall vivaro engine swap - IOW Dave

I have a 2008 Vauxhall vivaro and am looking at a complete engine swap. With a second-hand engine.

Will the replacement engine need 'coding' to the van??

Any help would be appreciated.

The engine ?

No.

Though the injetors will need matching,

Unless you swap them from the old engine to the new one.

Even if you do not it should run but will take some time for the ECU to adjust without code matching.

I was thinking the injectors rather than the engine. Sorry.

Is that a main dealer job to match them??

Yeah I have seen these issues. Hence looking at the possibility of a complete swap

Anyone with Renault "Can Clip" diagnostics,

Or the better quality diagnostics.

Say Bosch KTS.

But as I stated it should run without matching.

It will just take some time for the ECU to work out flow rates.
