Performance bulbs with a decent life span - Lrac

Is it possible to buy an upgraded headlamp bulb that does not have a drastically reduced life span? If so where?

I was thinking of Hir2 in particular and possibly H4

Most companies boast about the positive aspects but tend to say such things as "improved life compared to other perfomance bulbs"

Yes - PIAA have extended life but very expensive - just buy Philips Xtreme or Osram Nightbreaker and live with their reduced life.

There is no such thing as a "free lunch"
