I have a 2012 Mondeo 1.6 TDCI only done 50,000 miles it has gone into limp home mode. I have scanned with Forscan and get the above codes, I looked up the codes and get :-
"P1263 Description A fault is detected by the fuel injector interface module in the secondary (rearward) fuel injector circuit”
Can anybody explain that in simple language?
I have contacted my main Ford dealer who said:-
"These DTC codes mean nothing to Ford dealers, code reader not compatible to FMC DTCs.
Fuel pressure switch ? Injector ? Pump ?"
All these are major components which I would expect to last more than 50k miles. Is there any way I can get a better diagnosis without paying Ford main dealer £100 just to tell me what is wrong.
