Good evening,

Since owning this car, on average the oil has been changed at approximately 6k intervals using VW Qunatum oil to 504/507 spec fully sythetic. Mileage is know 70k should I use an oil flusing agent at next oil service, is so what is recommended. I am told the best on the market is BG245.

Any thoughts or comments, as ever, most appreciated.

Thank you

If the oil has been changed that frequently with the correct spec oil ,there is no need to use any flush product whatsoever.Just keep up your existing schedule.

+1 to that, the regular 6K oil changes should be enough.

Wow - way OTT. This is expensive long life oil. I would happily use your used oil for another 6000m in my Ford Focus. No flush needed, just ensure it's left to drip for a few hours (which you won't be able to do if the garage does it for you.)

My long life oil works out at around £18 fro 5 litres trdae price.

Excellent service regime, carry on the good work, and no need IMO to bother with a flush given such sensible servicing.

Presumably you are draining the oil properly through the plug, i'd love to see inside the crankcase of your engine, especially up around the tappets, as clean as the day it was made.
