Fiat Ducato 2.3 MultiJet - Clutch clunk when released Fiat Ducato - Dezbo

Hello,
Just had the cambelt changed on my Fiat Ducato 2.3 MultiJet (model year 2010). I now have a slight clunk noise when releasing the clutch. This happens when pressing down on the clutch pedal and releasing, then a clunk noise when the pedal is nearly fully raised (but not everytime). The engine had to be slightly raised/dropped to get the cambelt protective cover out of the engine bay. Could something have happened here? Any ideas what I can check? Anyone know this vehicle?
Thank you.

Check the rear engine/gearbox to body rubber mounting.

Oh and remove the center bolt from same,

I've come across some with a big wear notch on the bolt body before.

Clunk is definately coming from the gearbox housing (went underneith for a listen). Can't imagine what could have happened in there during a cambelt change? Would a faulty mount cause a reaction in the gear housing? Will check the mounts today in case they were damaged during engine raise/drop as it was only raised/dropped on one side.

I'd remove the entire mounting,

Clean if needed and give it a good eyeball.

Some mounts are not fully rubber and have webs,

Check for damage to same.

If in doubt renew.

Update:

Took it to a garage who said it was probably the mounts - so had them replace the relevant ones- expensive, but I couldn't get enough torque under the van to release the bolts to do it myself. Surprise, surprise, clunk is still there :( Now they are saying that it's normal for a clutch to make that noise (gave me some technical babble). Still got a clunky clutch but some shiny new gearbox/engine mounts. Process of elimination I guess. Can't afford to touch it again so will try driving with it for a while and see if it gets any worse. They certainly saw me coming !!!

I have uploaded a video to YouTube to see if anyone can make sense of it. I'm still not sure how changinging a cambelt has caused some play in the clutch, gears or transmission - unless lowering the engine has caused the problem?

Hi

I bought new Fiat Ducato 2.3 02/2018 and I have same problem.

When I left van in Service they told me has to be like that , but I not agree.

My question is- Did you resolve the clunch clunk in your van?

Will be great if you give to me some information

Thanks

Sounds like backlash somewhere in the transmission, driveshaft joints, or even a DMF?
