Hi, just bought 1.6 tdi golf from an auction which came with a mechanical report, with the only thing highlighted that the clutch take up may require some attention

Now, i got a family friend who is in the motor trade to collect the car for me and he said the 'judder' when the revs come back down idle was similiar to one he had previous which had an injector fault

I know the clutch feels a bit iffy and there is a flyhweel clatter, but surely if it was the injectors there would have been codes present when i scanned with it VCDS?

Sounds like the DMF to me.

I think only faulty injector coils show on scanner but if the fault is mechanical, pugged nozles or injector that opens late do to mechanical wear, will not show up on scanner.
Do you feel any pulsation in the clutch pedal? any hard vibration/noise transmited through the body between 1700-1900rpm? does the judder show when driving?
In any case you might be looking at a dmf fault and my recomandation is that you do not drive the car or you could be faced with a broken crankshaft.
