Dacia Sandero 0.9TCE - Won't shift out of first gear when warm - Dero

32k miles 2013. Drives nicely and all gear shifts are smooth but occasionaly it won't shift out of first gear when hot. Have to turn engine off to put into neutral.

No indication of the clutch slipping whilst driving. Any thoughts ?

Adjustment of clutch cable ? Doesn't have a hydraulic servo. Thanks

BTW it's the same engine / box as Clio

Dacia Sandero 0.9TCE - Won't shift out of first gear when warm - liammcl

I had a quick look around on the Dacia forums,
and google... but nothing came up.

Someone did have the problem with the diesel model,
but I dunno if that's relevant.

How often is "occasionally" ?

I don't know tbh, just guessing...

Thanks, for looking.

Update is that this model does have a concentric hydraulic servo within the clutch housing. I stand corrected.

Will have a look at level & condition of brake fluid (shared with clutch servo) and report back ii any joy.

Ocassional = not very often, possibly 1 in 10 journeys or less.Seems to be triggered by crawling in slow traffic for long time . Or lots of parallel parking practice. If driving in light or no traffic then air cooling may be sufficient to stop whatever is causing problems. Or could be a red herring !
