Toyota Aygo 55 plate 997cc - Sudden loss of power - John TRUMAN

My son recently had an accident and ran into the back of a car with a tow bar.

I`ve just picked the car up today having had the bodywork repaired , a new radiator , grill , bumper beam etc.

Driving home the car was fine then suddenly I felt all the power go and had to drive back at literally 5 miles per hour with the car stuttering and vibrating.

There are no warning lights lit up , so no guidance what the problem might be ?

Calling the bodyshop he too was mystified what could have gone wrong and is coming out early next week to have a look.

Being a non mechanic , could anyone offer any thoughts on what has gone wrong please.

The car was serviced only 4000 miles ago / MOT no faults.

The car was absolutely fine before the accident and was driven by me a fair amount so I know it was ok pre crash.

Thank you in advance

Very often when these have front end damage ,the exhaust and catalyst take a hit and get crushed.Possibly worth a look.

Many thanks for that reply.

Following earlier advice , The support beam had pushed in the CAT on impact and dented/damaged it. I`ve had the CAT and full exhaust replaced at a cost of £500.

Thanks for helping.
