S350 - Malfunction message: Vehicle rising - Liju Alex

Hi,

This is a new issue I am facing with my S350,

Image of the error message as seen in the link: store2.up-00.com/2016-04/146155885260741.jpg

This happens in 5 mins of the drive cycle, more over if I click the button before the error message comes, it will turn on the light on the switch stating it has taken the switch press but nothing will happen to the car. Later I will get the message as shown in the picture above after which there will be no response for the button press.

When I usually park the car for the day, I would hear the vehicle letting out sir from the front.. but I cannot hear it anymore since I started getting the error message.

Please advice me what is best? would it be an issue with the relay? or the pump itself has gone out?

Moved to Technical.

I have a wonderful vision of the 'vehicle letting out sir from the front' - in an S-class Sir could have sat in the back. Or maybe it's a passenger ejector seat?

I think he probably, and more prosaically, means 'air'.

The air suspension on these is a complicated system with a pump at the front with various sensors and air bags at each wheel which control ride height. However, there is one component that often fails and it is the rear ride height sensor link arm. They usually break and cause the system to malfunction. The part is very cheap, around £20,but a pain to fit.Worth a look.
