Hi All

I have noticed recently that when driving at low speeds, I can hear a "whup whup" sound (which goes in tandem with the speed of the car, but diappears when the car goes over 30-35mph, and the sound is almost like a dry metal rubbing sound). Long shot, but any ideas what this can be?

A needle in a haystack....

Things to note, if helpful at all:

* The car has done 173,000 miles.

* No unexpected vibrations in the steering wheel

* Car drives mechanically fine, no wear & tear to tyres.

I'm suspecting wheel bearings maybe?
