Citroen C5 2.0HDI - Citroen C5 2006 boots opens when doors unlocked - giggs

Bought a Citroen C5 2L HDI diesel 2006 model. When you unlock the doors using the fob the boot opens aswell ie not just unlocks the boot but clicks it open so you have to shut it everytime before you drive off. You would expect the fob to unlock the boot BUT NOT physically open it so you have to close it. Any suggestions on remedy or cause ? Thanks in advance.

Most common fault is the rubber push button switch on the tailgate faulty.They suffer with water ingress and short out.

Thanks for your reply. So best to take it to be looked at by a garage or is there any things i can try before taking it in. Sometimes the boot is just unlocked and not opened and most times it does open the boot.
