Kia venga 2 1.4 manual 6 months on report - 6 months on - oldroverboy.

I have now had the venga for 6 months and done just over 4000 miles.

Far more comfortable than the Rio 2 that preceded it. Feels good on the road, fast enough for me. Will "push" if using gears and accelerator, but no longer my style of driving... reversing sensors useful too!

Bags of room, moved a full size fridge freezer in it a few months back, and carried lots of 8 foot timber using the passenger sear folded back and protecting the seat and dashboard.

seating position great, minor problem of bonnet popping open solved by efficient dealer.. dealt with immediately.

Does absolutely everything i wanted and with the kia 7 year warranty, service package and purchase price of £9000 for a dealer ex demo at just under a year old, feels as if for once i have made a good choice.

Swmbo received an email this morning to get a car through NHS salary sacrifice no deposit but we'll stick with this one!

Kia are a company who started a drive to quality a few years ago, and its paying off.

I've just bought a Kia Sorento, and am similarly impressed. Fit and finish are first class. The only teething problems were those caused by the dealer skipping items on the PDI - such as not putting any fluid in the washers or stamping the service book. I think if the factory were aware of what the dealer did they'd hot the roof - getting a close to perfect product a few thousand miles, just to be defeated by a poor service team.

Sorentos are more expensive that they used to be, but the quality has risen in line.

If you're buying one though, make sure you get the dealer to fit the spare wheel security kit (£135 + fitting - but negotiate it into the deal).

I've done 750 miles in the first week or so - and not regretting my choice.

Agreed. I negotiated a full size spare without any hassle, almost as if the dealer was expecting it.

And yes, if i needed/wanted one, a Sorrento would fit nicely. Impressed.!!!

A friend of mine is a customer experience consultant for Kia. She goes around the country ensuring that dealers look and act the part they are meant to. If you let me know the name of the dealer (or just the town), I will pass your concerns about the incomplete PDI to her. This is exactly the type of sloppy work she is trying to stamp out.

ORB - what MPG are you getting on this?

ORB - what MPG are you getting on this?

Mpg is about 35 around town and up to 40 (just) on the A12/A14/M25.

Considering it is a brickouthouse of a car, very acceptable. with my usage diesel would have been a disaster waiting to happen.

it does feel as if it would go if loud pedal used in lower gears but mpg would suffer.

The question..

would i recommend one.

Yes.. because of access/room/warranty/reliability.
