Any - seat belt replacement - catsdad

I see a question today on this on Ask HJ.

I have solved slow seat belts in old cars by pulling out the belts to their full extent and spraying with a silicon aerosol. I think it was recommended by a backroomer a few years ago. Anyway worth a try before replacing the belts or paying a garage.

I've done this too and have found it to work. As you say, worth a try first.

I heard of this tip years ago, except then it was suggested furniture polish was applied to a cloth and then sparingly applied to the belt.

Silicone spray is better - makes less mess of your clothes!
