When I leave the car for more than about 4 days the battery goes flat(new battery). I have put the car into a local garage and the only fault they came up with was dodgy earth connections which they cleaned.

After locking car and leaving again for 4 days- battery flat again. Leave it unlocked all ok.

Any ideas please?

Does it have a light in the glovebox or engine bay or boot that does not go out when you lock it? It could be a faulty switch.

Does it have a heated rear screen radio antenna? It could be that one of the blocking capacitors has failed thus allowing a reasonable current, (say 100mA) to flow.

Just suggestions on where to look.

You will need to find a techy that can carry out an IOD (ignion off draw)of the electrical system and then carry out a systematic test of all the electrical consumers to isolate the circuit with the problem.Could even be the alternator.

I see you say it has a new battery? Why was the battery changed? Is it a premium battery? And was the problem there before it was changed?

It doesn't have an aftermarket radio does it, that can cause the ECU to not shut down or keep waking up if it doesn't have the correct adaptor leads.
