Is it safe to buy a car from a dealer that's far away?
I'm worried about paying a large cash sum to a dealer who is based far from where I live. Is my money safe if I buy a car from far away?

Unless this is via drivethedeal or carwow, best not to. Best to go there, see the car and physically do the deal.
