Problem with my vectra

My 2.2 direct sri petrol Vectra lost power 2 days ago while in traffic, the recovery people plugged the car into the computer and told me that the coil pack needs replacing as the car was misfiring on number 2 and 4. I have changed the coil pack this morning and the EML is still on and the car will not rev and will only crawl along on tick over which is also lumpy. Any help would be greatly received.

The most common fault on these cars is the cam sensor, if not that it is the air mass meter. Would suggest that you check these out before anything else.

Far better than previous Vectra. Now with decent handling and an excellent ride. Plenty of safety kit. Roomy in the front. Big boot. Good looks.
