Recommend a 4x4 with enough power for hills and plenty of boot space?
I've just moved to the middle of the North York Moors and want to buy a secondhand 4x4. I have three kids so boot space and rear seat space is important. I am not a confident driver so it would need to be easy to drive. At present I drive a 57-plate Vauxhall Zafira 1.6, which is very underpowered for the hills I'm tackling daily. Fuel efficiency is important as it's a 24-mile round trip to the nearest town! Budget is paramount as we are on a low income.

Without knowing your budget, it's hard to know for sure, but to get you started you may want to consider these: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/suzuki/grand-vitara-...5, www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/kia/sportage-2005, www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/hyundai/tucson-2004

Enjoyable drive, especially in diesel form. Plenty of kit. Rear seats recline and fold flat easily. Roomy and practical.
