Why is my Peugeot 205's engine jumping under load?

I have a Peugeot 205 GTI 1.9. When I'm changing up to second gear at around 2000 revs, the engine jumps like it wants to leave the body. It's had a new cam belt, distributor cap, rotor arm, lead and fuel filter. You can rev it up all day with no problems, but put it under load and it starts jumping. Please help.
