Where can I get an engine for my 2004 Vauxhall Astravan?

How hard is it to get hold of a 1.7CDTI engine for a 2004 Vauxhall Astravan, and what sort of money will it cost? Also, how hard is it to replace?

You may find an engine in a breakers yard for £300 to £500. It might be worth looking for a complete vehicle as a private sale. Check online companies that supply reconditioned engines. To replace it a workshop manual would be essential, unless you have the services of a good mechanic.
