Which tyres would reduce road noise in my Mazda 3?
I read with interest your answer to MB of Durley regarding tyre noise on his Ford Fiesta. I own a 09-reg Mazda 3 1.6 Takara automatic which I enjoy driving, but I cannot cope with the road noise, which I understand to be a known problem with this model. Do you think Michelin Energy savers will quieten the ride and if so, which version? The present tyres are Bridgestone Turanza 205/55 SR16.

A little bit, yes. But I never noticed road noise in my original road test of the 1.6 here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/mazda/mazda-3-2009.../?
The tyre roar mentioned in the video was in the 2.2 diesel, with bigger wheels and low profile tyres.
