How can I straighten my Citroen Xsara Picasso's steering wheel after having the tracking done?

I have just had new tyres and the tracking done on a Citroen Xsara Picasso. The steering wheel is now slightly (only slightly) out of line. This is irritating but I don't want to make a fuss unless it means the tracking has not been done properly. Could this damage the tyres?

There are two ways to do this. Either completely undo the alignment and start again with the steering wheel in the straight ahead position, or dismantle the airbag, pull the steering wheel off its splines and replace it, hoping to have get it straighter.
