Can anything be done to make the 59-plate Volkswagen Golf GTD seats more comfortable?

I'm in the fortunate position of being offered a Volkswagen Golf GTD (59 plate) as an upgrade company car to the MINI Cooper S that I currently drive, as the MINI has been fragile and back to the dealer too many times. The Golf is a much better car in almost every way, however I'm quite broad shouldered and the sports seats force my upper back and neck forward so much that I find it quite uncomfortable. I really want the car, but wondered whether you could think of a solution that would prevent the pain in my neck so that I can accept the Golf?

I agree. They are awful. They seem to be built either for narrow shouldered midgets, or for giants whose shoulders sprout above the side bolsters. You have to get rid of the seats and replace with ordinary Golf seats or get rid of the car, or the seats will cripple you.
