Who's responsible for repairing a fault in my Peugeot 407 HDi?
I bought a Peugeot 407 HDi from a trader. The third day after buying the car it started to misfire and lose power, and then after a few miles would clear itself. I took it back to the trader who took it to Peugeot, where no fault was found on their diagnostic computer. Three months on I've been back to trader three times and he still could not find a fault, so we asked him to leave it at Peugeot and let them drive it after seven days. The fault happened, but with no fault codes. Who is liable for the repairs?

The dealer is liable and seemed to have been co-operating. But he cannot be held liable for a fault that cannot be found and rectified.
