Which automatic hatchback would you recommend for £3500?

I am about to change my car and would welcome some advice. I can spend £3500 tops. The car has to be automatic, have five doors, be a hatchback because of the dogs, and no larger than 1.4-litre. The bigger the boot space the better, because of said dogs. I have been looking at Corsas, Ford Fusions and Fiestas. Which would be the best car to choose?

A Fiesta or Fusion automatic is 1.6-litre. Larger-engined Corsa automaticss are proper 4-speed torque converter, but 1.2s are autoclutch Easytronics. The old shape Yaris 1.3 4-speed auto was the best, or a Suzuki Swift 1.5 4-speed auto that has the Yaris engine and transmission.
