Should I pay £650 for a new air conditioning switch that failed whilst the car was in the garage?
My car went into a local garage for a replacement radiator. When I collected the car the air conditioning wasn't working and the next day a coolant warning light came on. I took the car back to the garage and they admitted it was their fault and said they would fix it. Now they claim a controller switch was corroded and it was a coincidence this failed whilst they had it. They have agreed to fit the new part free of charge but expect me to pay the £650 parts costs. The air conditioning all worked fine before they had it.

I cannot understand why an air conditioning control switch costs £650. If the garage is a member of www.motorcodes.co.uk, take the matter up with Motor Codes. That's what they are there for.
