Would changing the 17-inch wheels on my Skoda Octavia to 16-inch give a more comfortable ride?

I've been driving my 2013 Skoda Octavia Elegance 2.0 for five months. Everything about the car is fantastic apart from the ride. I suffer a bad back and this would be enough for me to trade-in for something more comfortable. Would changing the 17-inch wheels for 16-inch wheels make that much difference to comfort?

Yes. Switch to 16-inch wheels with 205/55 R16 Michelin Cross Climate tyres. That will transform the car, giving a far better, quieter ride as well as the all-weather benefits.
