Should I replace my Kia Cee'd with a Kia Sportage?

On your advice, I purchased a 2007 Kia Cee'd 1.4 S in 2008 which has been brilliant, I've only had to replace the battery. Being retired, I only do about 8000 miles a year so I'm considering replacing it with a new 1.7 Kia Sportage. What is your opinion and is it a chain cam engine?

The Sportage 1.7 CRDi is very pleasant to drive because it develops maximum torque at low revs, but it's still a diesel, so repeated short runs from cold stats will lead to problems with the DPF. Yes, chain cam engine.
