Will my Nissan Note's DPF be ok if I take it for a 40-mile drive once a week?
I bought a new Nissan Note 1.5 diesel in March. Soon afterwards, I moved house with work and now it only has a three-mile trip each day. At weekends I ensure it gets a round trip of at least 40 miles in a low gear to keep the revs up. Will this once a week journey be enough, or should I get the filter checked after six months rather than waiting for the annual service?

It should be okay. Check the oil level regularly. If it starts to rise, that is a sure sign the DPF is blocked and you need to get it to a dealer.
