All weather tyres - which to choose?
I own a Golf Plus 1.4 tsi auto registered in 2012. The tyres are 205/55R 16 91V. I am thinking of changing to all weather tyres. Do you still recommend Michelin? Are they as quiet as ordinary tyres?

Yes, you can get Michelin Cross Climate tyres that size and I cannot recommend them more highly: they give a softer and quieter ride and better steering feel as well as the benefits in mud and snow with no sacrifice in wear rate or fuel economy. I have just run a set for 10,000 miles after which they were down to 5.5mm front; 6mm rear, giving a projected life of 20,000 - 30,000 miles. Best to run them at lowish cold pressures. 30psi - 31psi on a Golf Plus.
