Is it legal to sell an unroadworthy car?

I want to sell a car which I believe falls into the "unroadworthy" category. Am I correct in thinking that I can sell it to a private individual, as long as I clearly state that the car is unroadworthy in the advert and get them to sign a statement at the time of sale accepting this fact?

If I can sell it under the circumstances described above, does the car absolutely have to be taken off my land without being driven (which would still be possible)? Or could I sell it to a private individual who wishes to drive the car away, if they sign a statement that they accept it is unroadworthy, have arranged insurance, and are taking it to a pre-arranged MOT test?

As long as you do what you say you will do then selling the unroadworthy car is legal. But it would not be legal for the purchaser to drive it away. He would have to trailer or flatbed it away.
