Will my car fail the MoT over a faulty headlamp washer jet?
I have a 2010 Nissan Qashqai with a headlamp washer jet that won't retract after spraying. Nissan quoted £228 for a replacement and our local independent garage is unable to source the jet assembly.
It's a bumper off job, so expensive for what it is. The garage can't tell me whether it's an MoT failure or not and they refuse to cover the replacement through the aftermarket warranty. They said since the warranty specifically excludes washer motors, it's not covered. What should I do?

Don't think it will be an MoT failure because most cars don't even have headlight washers. If you bought the car within 6 months the dealer who sold it to you is responsible. Might simply be dirt in the mechanism and might clean up.
