Buying a used family car - Avensis or Passat?
I have 2007 Renault Grand Scenic 1.9 diesel automatic and want to upgrade. I have budget of £10-£12K. Was thinking of Toyota Avensis or Volkswagen Passat. Any recommendations?

Avensis generally more reliable than a Passat and may haver balance of 5 year warranty. Better a 1.8i or 2.0i Valvematic than a diesel.
