Which four-door car could replace my wife's Peugeot 206?

My wife currently drives a 2002 three-door Peugeot 206 which has 30,000 miles, but she would like to purchase a four-door car that can cope with a pushchair and a seat for our grandson. We have looked at the Citroen C3 Picasso and the Hyundai I20. The budget is £10,000. Please advise what you would suggest and how much we should expect for the Peugeot?

The Hyundai i20 is an excellent choice as it's well built and reliable, plus it comes highly equipped for the money. The C3 Picasso is more versatile, but Citroen still has a patchy record for reliability and although the company says it's worked to iron this out, only time will tell whether this is the case - at the moment we're still hearing of problems with some new Citroens.

We can't give an accurate value on the Peugeot without knowing what engine and trim version it is, as there are hundreds and they all make a difference to price. If it was a 1.1 LX three-door it would be worth around £1900 selling privately and £1650 as a part-exchange.
