Why is my Lexus NX worth so little second hand?

Seven months ago I paid £34,000 for my Lexus NX. I have now been told it worth 25 per cent less than I paid. Is this normal? The car has only covered 8000 miles.

Absolutely normal for a new car for which full list price is paid. The percentage value drop amortises over the years so that by Year three the total drop will probably be less than 60 per cent, so less than 20 per cent per year.
