Parking ticket from airport - Pay or ignore?

I have received a parking fine for a supposed violation at Newcastle airport. Is this a private company? Can I ignore the demand? Will they need to pursue me for the fee or should I appeal and not ignore the fine?

This will be a private parking penalty and if you don't pay they have the legal right to take you to court for it, plus court costs and a late payment penalty, so you would be extremely foolish to ignore it. If you wish to appeal, follow the instructions on the notice.
