MINI Countryman - 17 or 18-inch wheels?

What's your opinion of using 17-inch wheels on the MINI Countryman instead of the larger 18s that are provided on the Cooper S?

Better on 16-inch or 17-inch and needs All-4 to handle. Hideous and huge (for a MINI), yet the World's most popular MINIs.
