Buying a new car - petrol or diesel?
I want to buy a new car. I cannot decide between the Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI or the Suzuki Vitara 1.6 petrol. The Suzuki has more equipment for less money, but is slower and has higher fuel consumption. Which would you recommend?

These are two completely different cars. Only go for a diesel if you expect to do over 20,000 miles a year. A better Octavia is the 1.4TSI 125 or 150. A better Vitara is the Vitara S 1.4 BoosterJet.
