Should I buy a high-mileage Volvo S40?

What do you think of buying a Volvo S40 2.0 D R-Design Sport 4dr diesel with 120k miles for £4000? Shall I go for it? what should I watch for?

You don't say how old it is. Engine is the fairly growly Ford/PSA 2.0HDI/TDCI. Will need a timing belt, tensioner and waterpump (£500). More here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volvo/s40-2004/
