There's Mazda's 2.0 Skyactiv with outputs up to 165PS and Toyota's GT 86 / Subaru BRZ flat four with 200PS. But turbos offer huge advantages to engines, in particular more power from a smaller capacity and greater efficiency because they heat the engine up much faster. All petrol turbos are water cooled, so in the winter that also means that the car heater heats up faster and the screen de-mists more quickly. On short runs there is no need to worry about the oil in the turbo carbonising; only if you switch off after a long, labouring incline or after towing and sometimes, but rarely, after steady speed cruising on the motorway. If the car has stop start it will not stop if the turbo is too hot.
