Old pre-2006 MoTs - How can I get hold of old copies?

I have lost, through a fire, my MOT certificates dating from 2001 to 2006. I'm not sure I can recall the testing station (I have moved well away from that area) and I wonder whether there's another way I can obtain these?

There may be DVLA records of the mileages at these MoTs but that's all.
