What is a reliable, easily-available car in Portugal?
We are moving to rural Portugal in a couple of months. We have noticed that car prices in Portugal are much higher than in the UK. We will need to buy a left-hand drive car there, as there are various taxes and restrictions on bringing in a car. We currently have an 8-year-old Astra estate, which is fab, but we would welcome advice on what are the best value cars in Portugal and, as we will be buying secondhand, what to look out for, and which cars are reliable. Also how much do you think we will need to spend to get a decent, reliable car, that will give us a number of years good service?

Sorry, I simply don't know the scene in Portugal. But what is reliable here will be reliable there.
