Dealer won't repair faulty gearbox
Ten months ago I purchased an approved used SEAT Leon (2012 plate) with just 11,000 miles on the clock. Three months after purchase it started making a rattling noise when in fifth gear. I took back to the dealer I purchased it from and they stripped it down and fixed it (under warranty), which I was happy with.
Five weeks after getting the car back the noise (exactly the same as before) started up again so I took it straight back. This time they seemed very reluctant to look into it. They took the car in for nearly a week and then decided that it was a characteristic of the car. As far as I know they did not do a gearbox strip down like previously, they just took it on road tests and decided there was no issue.
The car has been escalated up through the ranks of technicians, all of which acknowledged they can hear a noise. But then when I book the car in for them to look at they tell me that nothing is wrong with it.
I am now unsure what I can do as it had gone to two dealers (both in the same group). I got 12 months warranty with it being an approved used. Is this honoured by the manufacturer or the dealership?

As long as you bought the car and always dealt with the same chain of dealers (by which I mean under the same ownership) then it's time to get tough and demand a new gearbox. Nothing to do with SEAT, unless the dealer refers it to SEAT and SEAT picks it up. Your rights are against the dealer: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
