Why is my SEAT Alhambra's alarm going off constantly?

The alarm on my SEAT Alhambra keeps going off. I have disconnected the battery to hopefully reset the system, but to no avail. Help is needed urgently, as my neighbours are getting fed up with it in the middle of the night.

It's an oversensitive sensor. In the hope that a spider inside the car isn't setting it off by crawling over it, try this: switch the vents to recirculate, close all closable vents, switch the heater to high and direct all directable vents to the footwell. That will minimise air disturbances inside the car that may be setting off the alarm.
