Faulty car DPF

I purchased a new diesel ASX the problem started after 8 months. Oil light stating level to high. Cars now 22 months old, done almost 16.000 miles. Same problem again twice in 2 months. Can I reject the car and get a refund?
Thank you.

Depends how you are driving it. Repeated short runs from cold will clog the DPF and prevent it from actively regenerating so the extra diesel introduced to burn off the soot will sink to the sump. Better quality diesel such as Shell V-Power helps. And in any case, having driven 16k miles over 22 months there is no chance of a refund; only 'current markert value' at best.
