tyre pressure

Hi all I am sure that I read in my brand new Zafira's owners manual that tyre pressure can be increased from 32 to 38 psi to improve economy. Can you tell me what the pro's and cons are to this (reduced grip excepted). Many thanks all.

Horrible hard ride, lot of road noise, plus lack of steering feel and lack of grip. Don't do it.
