Passat warning light - dpf fault?
I have just had a fault light come on the dash of my Passat CC and a message saying diesel-particle. Would you have any idea what this means , as the light stays on while driving?

It means that the diesel particulate filter of your car is blocked. If it's low mileage then it might be blocked with soot and the dealer may be able to regenerate it. If it's higher mileage of 70,000 miles plus then the DPF will be blocked with ash and your options are to have it cleaned out by the Ceramex process that costs around £300 or to buy a new DPF which, from Volkswagen, will be £1,000+.
