Forthcoming plug-in hybrids - can you recommend them?
My nephew has a BMW 520d company car plus fuel card and approaching change time has calculated at his mileage a plug-in hybrid will save him £5k pa in tax. Being a badge snob an Outlander is not for him so suggestions welcomed for prestige car, preferably estate, up to around £45k retail either available now or coming within, say, 6 months.

I was extremely impressed by the Volkswagen Passat GTE: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/volkswagen/volkswa.../ Less impressed with the Mondeo hybrid: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-mondeo-v.../ The new Prius plug in hybrid should be good, but that isn't arriving until Spring.
