Misfuelled Mercedes ML-Class
I rather stupidly filled up my 2004 Mercedes ML 270 CDI with petrol. Yes, and I drove it before it cut out and wouldn't start. What can I expect the damage to be and what will MB rush me for this, as the car's only worth 4 grand

If the lack of lubricity in the fuel has damaged the high pressure injection pump and the injectors you can expect a huge bill: maybe £4000 - £5000. If it hasn't seriously damaged the injection pump you might get away with no more than a fuel system clean.
