Loss of credibility with Audi

Having bought a 2012 Audi 1.4 TFSI from a main dealer just over two years ago should I be worried about it holding value when I come to change the vehicle in view of the recent scandal at VWG?

I thought that VWG would ride this out, but judging by October's new car sales figures it's starting to become apparent that the love affair between the British and all things VWG has hit the rocks. That said, Audi sales were up, so of of all the VWG brands it seems you're safest with an Audi petrol model.
