Buying a used Toyota RAV4

Due to my car written off by floods I have found a private seller with a 2002 Toyota RAV4 2.0 VX diesel, 5 door, 99000 miles, with new clutch, tyres, MOT. Is this a possible buy or might there be a lot more to repair and therefore too costly to keep on the road. On sale for £3400.

New clutch and dual mass flywheel is a dealbreaker, otherwise this could cost you £1,000+ to replace. But he wants all the money for a 99k mile 2002. Might need a timing belt. Offer £2500.
